Window Views and Rainy Days

It’s Monday in the Promise Gardens but three days of soaking rain have left much undone.  The “always-much-needed” rain for gardens to truly grow beautifully has weighed down the roses, peonies and flowering plants to the ground so we will have tons of maintenance to do when the sunshine and dry ground returns.  The colors enhanced from the rain and the trees getting a huge drink is a blessing we hasten for sunshine soon.  So then, I will admire my window views until I am loosed to return to enjoy a turn in the gardens again.

Oh Beautiful Burning Bush

This week really begins the Thanksgiving and Christmas season at our house.  The Christmas tree goes up the day after Thanksgiving, the house is decked out and the gardens get their winter-dress up, wreaths on the doors, poinsettias on staircase, lights in the windows and the promise of a beautiful and lovely season of color.  As I gazed from my winter porch at the burning bush in the Promise Gardens, I noted the color that must be replicated for the holiday season as perfect “cherry” and “Christmassy” feature color so snapped a photo of it with my Camera Awesome and iPhone.  It will share a place with glittery gold. Isn’t it just lovely color?  We think so!
