Oh Roses…Before and After

“I KNOW a little garden-close
Set thick with lily and red rose,
Where I would wander if I might
From dewy dawn to dewy night,
And have one with me wandering…”*

The Fountain Rose Garden “before and after” the rain. The sun is shining bright and early this morning so this garden will be restored to its proper glory and new blooms after the gardener’s loving touch.

Promise Gardens Rainy Day #2

A GARDEN is a lovesome thing, God wot!
Rose plot,
Fringed pool,
Ferned grot—
The veriest school
Of peace; and yet the fool
Contends that God is not—
Not God! in gardens! when the eve is cool?
Nay, but I have a sign;
’Tis very sure God walks in mine.**
