O Beautiful Spring Basket…

…from the Promise Gardens.  Spring has surely sprung!  As you see, the spring flowers have tempted me to create many lovely arrangements for the spring photoshoots.  I am always in awe of the rich colors and uniqueness of each flower and leaf.  Lilacs, hyacinth and bulbs create a spectrum of delight!  I wish you were here to take in the sight and aroma!  It’s breathtaking!

Oh My Hyacinth!

The lovely colors of lavender, purples and orchid will be the prime color of the Promise Garden container gardens this year. It is also one of the selected colors for the new garden bicycle. There is nothing so beautiful as the varying hues of hyacinths and spring flowers as the garden palette. You can guess from the site header that these are my 2012 color choices!

More Potting Table & Arbor Love

It’s that time again…

I am up-to-my-ears in designing the gardens for this year. Spring popped up overnight and we are ahead of blooming schedule even before the mulching, cleaning and trimming are complete! But no worry, the favorite part of gardening for me is designing. This image depicts some of our new porch design for last year…wait until you see the arbors, potting sheds, tables this year…the arbors are already overflowing with stems/buds and more.

There are some really beautiful surprises forthcoming and creative things you may want to try in your own gardens so watch for them. The new potting table will get an update of glorious beauties and the old very large potting table will get a new place with the works in a new spot — “secret dining garden.”  The “Secret Resting Garden” and “Photography Garden” will hold wonderful things and activities.   Oh so fun!

Happy Gardening…treat yourself to the beauty of our world…

Spring Garden Design

We are excited for the gardening season as we see spring bulbs popping out of the ground and buds on flowering trees.  These colors are wonderful and helpful as we create the color for our design this year in our annuals and container gardening.  We like the pinks, purples, whites with various hues of light green for this year’s plan.  Looking at images of flowers, strolling through garden centers and perusing flower catalogs are a great way to create your spring garden palette.
